Welcome to the O. G. Edgerton Schutzhund / IPO Club

Welcome to O. G. Edgerton. We are a Schutzhund dog training club (O.G. is the German abbreviation for Orts Gruppe or Local Group) located in Edgerton, Wisconsin not far from the State's Capital of Madison. O. G. Edgerton is a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America and competes as a club in the North Central Region.

Schutzhund / IPO

Schutzhund is the German sport combining Tracking, Obedience and Protection Work. Schutzhund was designed as a breed test for the German Shepherd Dog, to make sure they possessed the qualities needed to function as an all-around working dog.

Our Goals; Your Goals

At O.G. Edgerton we train both handler and dog. We consist of members and frequent visitors that love the sport of Schutzhund. We work together to prepare our dogs and their handlers for local club Schutzhund trials. If your goals are loftier, we also provide training opportunities with our very capable training staff for the more serious competitor.

Not all our members want to compete. Some wish only to brush up on obedience training or provide opportunities for their working dog breeds to "cut their teeth" on this engaging sport.
